Conservation areas

An area, not being Crown land, which meets one or more of the purposes and objectives for a protected area set out in section 8 may, on the recommendation of the Council to the Cabinet, become a conservation area by agreement between the proprietor and the Cabinet.
An agreement made under subsection (1) shall —
specify the management, administration, financial and enforcement responsibilities of the Cabinet and of the proprietor to ensure furtherance of the objectives for which the area was chosen as a conservation area;
identify any regulations, directives or other restrictions on use that shall apply to the area; and
specify such other measures as may be considered necessary and appropriate to ensure furtherance of the purposes and objectives for which the area was selected as a conservation area.
