It is an offence for the master of a vessel to cause or allow a passenger or member of the crew or other person on board the vessel to disembark in the Islands before permission generally to disembark has been given by an immigration officer.
A person who fails to comply with subsection (1) commits an offence.
It is a defence to a person charged with an offence under this section to prove that such disembarkation took place in an emergency and was, at the earliest time practicable, notified to an immigration officer.
