Access to identification information on a registered person

28. (1) A requesting entity may request, with the consent of a registered person or the registered person’s delegate, identification information about the registered person from the register for the purpose of — Section 29 Identification Register Act, 2022 Page 24 Act 14 of 2022 c
accessing, authenticating, or verifying certain facts about a registered person; or
providing a service to a registered person as required under any other Act.
A requesting entity shall ensure that the identification information of a person that was obtained through its access to the register is only used for the purpose permitted under subsection (1) or by any other enactment.
A requesting entity shall clearly communicate in writing to the registered person under subsection (1) the uses to which the information that the requesting entity seeks to access from the register is to be put.
