Use of premises, equipment, etc.: Government schools

The Cabinet may make regulations as to the use of the premises, equipment and facilities of a school other than for the purposes of the school where such premises, equipment and facilities are owned by the Government.
Without limiting the generality of the powers contained in subsection (1), regulations under this section may provide for —
the premises to be available outside normal school hours to be used for meetings, social functions and other activities beneficial to the community in which the school is situated;
the premises to be available for use in connection with elections conducted under the Elections Act (2022 Revision);
the premises to be available for use as an emergency shelter;
the fees which may be charged in connection with use and for the recovery of expenses; and
the health and safety of persons using the premises and for the protection of the equipment and facilities on the premises.
