Convictions of prohibited immigrants

Where a person has been declared a prohibited immigrant in the Islands on the basis of a criminal offence committed outside the Islands and the person's criminal record is expunged in the country in which the conviction took place, that expungement shall be recognised under this Law as if it had been given by the Board in respect of an offence committed in the Islands.
Where a person's criminal record has been expunged in circumstances described in subsection (1), that person may, subject to the provisions of the Immigration Law (2015 Revision), re-enter the Islands to live or visit.
