Subject to subsections (2) to (4), no member of a registered society shall have more than one vote in the conduct of the affairs of the society: Provided that in the case of an equality of votes the chairperson shall have a casting vote.
A registered society which is a member of any other registered society shall have such voting rights as may be prescribed by the rules, and such voting rights shall be exercised in accordance with the rules.
A registered society which is a member of any other registered society may appoint one of its members as its proxy for the purpose of voting in the conduct of the affairs of such other registered society.
Except as provided by subsection (3), voting by proxy shall not be allowed.
