Penalty for sitting or voting in the Legislative Assembly when unqualified

Any person who sits or votes in the Legislative Assembly knowing or having reasonable grounds for knowing that he or she is not entitled to do so shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding 500 dollars for each day on which he or she so sits or votes.
Any such penalty shall be recoverable as a debt by civil action in the Grand Court at the suit of the Attorney General.
