and section 214 , any exempted company may apply to the Registrar to be registered as a segregated portfolio compa ny. ( 2 ) Nothing in this Part shall derogate from the Authority ’ s powers to determine, where relevant, whether a segregated portfolio company is suitable to be licensed under the regulatory laws.
An application may also be made under subsection (1) at t he same time as application is made —
to re - register an ordinary non - resident company as an exempted company;
to register a company by way of continuation as an exempted company; or
to register as an exempted limited duration company.
An ap plication under subsection (1) shall, in addition to any other fee that may be payable, be accompanied by the fee specified in Part 7 of
