A person who is married is prohibited from entering into a civil partnership during the currency of the marriage.
A person who is in a civil partnership is prohibited from entering into another civil partnership during the currency of the first-mentioned civil partnership.
A person who is in an overseas relationship is prohibited from entering into a civil partnership during the currency of the overseas relationship.
