The Registrar shall, upon receiving an application for the issuance of a Cayman Islands Identification Card, verify —
the existence of an individual with the identity corresponding to the application; and
that the applicant is the same individual referred to in paragraph (a).
For the purposes of subsection (1), the Registrar may require an applicant for a Cayman Islands Identification Card to —
appear before the Registrar —
in person;
by way of communication technology; or
in such other manner as the Registrar may determine;
be photographed; or
provide such further information as the Registrar may require to be submitted in the form and manner as specified by the Registrar.
