Appointment of civilian support staff of the Coast Guard

At the request of the Commandant, the chief officer of the Coast Guard may, in accordance with the Public Service Management Act (2018 Revision), recruit and appoint civilian support staff employees to work within the Coast Guard on such terms and conditions as may be agreed by all parties concerned.
From the date of a person's appointment as a civilian support staff employee of the Coast Guard, the person's employment shall be governed by this Act and any regulations made under this Act.
