Standstill orders

Where the Director is of the opinion that any given area is threatened with the spread of any notifiable animal disease the Director may issue a standstill order controlling the movements of persons and animals into, out of and within the said area. Such order shall be valid for three days after the date of publication and may thereafter be renewed by the Cabinet for such further period as to the Cabinet may appear desirable.
Where an order under subsection (1) is in force the Director may require such disinfective and disease control measures to be carried out as may be calculated to limit the spread of the disease.
