Commencement: This Act shall come into force on such date as may be appointed by Order made by the Cabinet and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and in relation to different matters.
s.2amendedAmends the definition of 'medical officer' and adds definitions for 'emergency detention order', 'observation order', 'order for protective custody', 'assisted outpatient treatment order', and 'patient'.
s.6amendedRepeals subsections (5) and (6) and substitutes new subsections (5), (6A), (6B), and (6C).
